Psalms 139 13-16
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
The following are a must:
1. Bible/Study of God's True words and promises
2. Camera
3. Scrapbooking. (Prior to placement, make a scrapbook of pictures of your pregnancy, your thoughts, your feelings, your hopes and dreams.) To someday share your with your
son/or daughter.
4. Journal/To express yourself and to record prayers of blessings and praises to Jesus your Lord and Savior.
5. Friends/True friends will not judge your decision and will not debate your decision, They will respect you and uplift you in your decision. Remove yourself from those that want to bring you down. Surround yourself only with supportive family and friends.
6. Do seek prior counseling and post adoption counseling. It is important that you do not bottle any thing up. That you express your thoughts freely and that you are seeing a Christian Counselor that can let you know that your post adoption grief is normal. And that Jesus binds up and heals the broken hearted.
7. Spend quite time with the Lord. Tell him what you feel, and then give it to him to mend. With faith you will see he is doing just that. God will show you how Big he is!
8. Find a support group/Check in your area for a local Crisis Pregnancy Center. Ask the director if a counselor there could help you through post-adoption grief counseling. Or if they might provide a birthmother support group. If they don't have one. Think about if God is calling you to start one in your area. It could be and extension of Birthmothersunite Support Group.
9. Be as positive about your situation and realistic as you can. Remember the power of a positive woman is not her power but Gods power!
10. Remember you are an Angel Bringer of Life! Thank God, for the experience and look at your situation in his eyes. The eyes of Love, Grace and Mercy. He is proud of you, that you persevered through tough circumstances and that you were unselfish and that you CHOSE LIFE FOR YOUR UNBORN BABY!
